Sunday enjoyed a delightful lunch of Spaghetti, bread, salad and dessert
prepared by members of the Westminster High School National Honor Society
for their first annual Soup Kitchen “SHOWDOWN”. They organized the event,
prepared and served the food for clients of Carroll County Food Sunday. The
excess food was donated to the Westminster Rescue Mission. The luncheon was
held on Saturday, May 11th from noon to 1:30pm in the dining room of the Vo
Tech Center located at 1229 Washington Road, Westminster, Md.
Carroll County Food Sunday (CCFS) is a non-profit organization of volunteers and members of the community coming together as neighbors helping neighbors by supporting Carroll County residents in meeting their emergency and supplemental food needs.
