How to Help

CCFS accepts monetary and non-perishable food donations.  More than 94% of every dollar donated buys groceries.  Your gift provides food to hungry neighbors.   All donations stay in Carroll County and many food purchases support local businesses.  All donations are tax deductible.  We do not share donor information with anyone.


On-Line Donations

More than 94% of every dollar donated goes directly to the purchase of groceries. 

Examples of purchasing power are:
$100 buys meat for 1 day of service at Food Sunday
$48 buys weekly food for a family of 4
$25 buys weekly food for a family of 2

Food Donations

 We encourage donors to give the kind of nutritious, non-perishable food they would serve their own families.   Listed below is our Wish List.

                         PLEASE DELIVER DONATIONS TO FOOD SUNDAY DURING OUR NORMAL HOURS OF OPERATION

  • Canned Fruit
  • Hot or Cold Cereal
  • Canned Vegetables
  • Canned Tuna, Chicken, Salmon 
  • Plain Rice
  • Canned Soup
  • Spaghetti in one pound boxes, Macaroni & Cheese
  • Peanut Butter, Canned Beans
  • Tomato Sauce


It is important that you contact us so that we can expect the arrival of your non-perishable food. CCFS asks that your planning of a food drive include transportation of donated food to our Westminster facility during our hours of operation. Our volunteers appreciate your help in bringing donated food into our warehouse from the loading dock along Railroad Avenue.  If alternate arrangements are needed, please give us a call at 410-857-7926.

In-Person Donations

Food or Monetary Donations may be brought to our location at 10 Distillery Drive in Westminster on Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday between 10:00-11:15, and between 1:00-2:15.  We are also open on Saturday between 9:00-11:15.

 

Volunteering Opportunities

Our volunteers perform numerous tasks to support our mission, such as:

  • Greeting and Interviewing Clients
  • Packing Food
  • Sorting and Organizaing Food
  • Other Task Related Opportunities
